Photos & Results from the 2018 Snowshoe Nationals in Vermont!
Hello, Joe Azze here from MPF! Here is a little news and our photos from the 2018 Dion U.S National Snowshoe Championships that were held over the weekend of March 9th. We had a few teammates from the MPF RNR Trail Running Team participating in the 10k, Marathon and Relay. Here are the results from the weekend:
The MPF RNR Team placed 2nd overall!
Matthias Lipsey was 4th in the 10k & helped his mixed team during the relay take home the bronze medal!
Ryan Welts ran a strong and consistent race for 4th place in Sunday’s Marathon!
Ben Nephew was 7th in Saturday’s 10k, 1st master and also crossed the line in 5th place for the Marathon. He was the only one to finish both races!
Cole Crosby was 10th in the 10k!
Jay Lemos was 2nd in his age group for the 10k!
A huge thanks goes out to all of the volunteers, race organizers and Prospect Mountain Nordic Ski Area in Woodford, Vermont for making this race possible after the 40+ inches of snow they received the week of! Congratulations to everyone who toed the line! We hope to see you next year!
