MPF NEWS
This summer has been filled with one epic journey after the next! We are so proud of the hard work, discipline and true grit of our community of athletes. Getting to the starting line in one piece, finishes, great performances and adventures should be celebrated! Awesome job to all Eastern States 100, Fat Dog 120 Trail Race, Leadville 100 MTB and anyone who toed the line this weekend or had one heck of an adventure!
A couple of phenomenal performances and adventures worth mentioning: MPF/RNR athlete Jayson Kolb won the Eastern States 100 in the time of 21:13, with fellow teammate Mike Siudy pacing him. Harry Hamilton added another Leadville buckle to his collection but this year on the bike at the Leadville Trail 100 MTB! Amy Jennifer Hanlon had an amazing adventure in the Pacific Northwest on the 93 mile Wonderland Trail, which circumnavigates Mt. Rainier.
MPF Coach, Ben Nephew set a new FKT (Fastest Known Time) on the Swan Song Loop in New Hampshire! This is a 30 mile route on very challenging terrain, with close to 20,000 feet of elevation gain!
Locally, MPF coach, Elizabeth Azze led some members of the MPF Adventure Club on the 14.5 mile Slide Mountain Wilderness Loop in the Catskill Mountains of NY.
One of our missions here at MPF is to inspire others to simply move, it doesn’t have to be an ultra, just live the best life you can by exercising, eating well and don’t forget to throw in a couple of adventures here and there to make life a bit more interesting.
Always adventure, Joe & Elizabeth Azze and the MPF Community!
