JAYSON KOLB

MPF RNR Athlete

Why, hello there! My name is Jayson and it’s nice of you to click on my picture to learn more about me. I reunited with running after a low point in my life. I had been a cross country runner and soccer player in high school, a rower in college, and returned to the pavement and trails for sanity and needed soul searching after graduation.

I found some kindred spirits in a local running club, and after too many beers one night, signed up for my first ultra marathon, the Vermont 50K. I finished 1st, and feeling pretty good, well as good as you can after a 50K, decided that I could probably run longer. What followed were 50 milers, 100 milers, UTMB and other adventures, big and small. Without the support of friends, family, and competitors, this would not be possible nor fun.

You can see me run locally in the Weehawken area, and my favorite local trails are the Long Path at Fort Lee and South Mountain Reservation in Millburn. Hope to see you out there in 2016!
