Video: The 2015 Whiteface Sky Marathon!
I finally had a chance to put together a video from the 2015 Whiteface Sky Marathon which took place on Sunday, June 28th. The course was 19.3 miles, with 9,500 feet of elevation gain! This was part of the Red Newt Racing Sky Runs that will be held each year at the Whiteface Resort in the Adirondacks of New York and will consist of the Vertical K on Saturday and the Marathon on Sunday.
This years marathon had a bit of an added challenge with the torrential downpours the night before and throughout the day. Runners were in knee deep mud at times and battling 50+mph winds near the summit. It was truly an epic day for the runners, race directors, the Whiteface staff and all of the volunteers. Looking forward to seeing what the 2016 race has in store...
